“Notice at about 2.20 minutes into the video he talks about the Hana Highway and stops at a waterfall lagoon? I’ve been there. Easily one of my favourite travel memories. The Hana Highway is an absolute must do in Maui. The highway is only 52 miles long, but has 620 hairpin-cliffside turns and 59 bridges. They say if you pulled the highway straight it takes less than an hour to drive, but as it is, plan for the full day to go 52 miles! And that lagoon, totally amazing spot just steps from parking along side the highway. Definitely stop there.
At 3.30 minutes in he takes you on a helicopter ride. I did the hilo along the Na Pali Coast in Kauai. You’ll know what that coast line looks like from watching Jurassic Park. What an experience!
He talks a little bit about the Humpbacks too. They breed in the warm Pacific waters during the late fall to January before heading north to spend their summer in the cool Alaskan waters. This is why I’ve always planned my trips to Hawaii in winter. Best time of year to go for sure!
I love Hawaii. The video touches on Maui but there’s so much to do in all the islands and each has something different to offer. If you go, visit all the islands, otherwise, going and visiting only one island is like buying your favourite book and reading only one page.”
